About Us
My name is Ronald Pollock and I would like to extend to you a very warm “virtual” welcome to our farm, which I farm with my three brothers and mother.

My grandfather, the late James Pollock, came to Bonnyhill farm in 1920 as a tenant farmer, having been previously employed as a ploughman on a neighbouring farm.
He started retailing milk in the 1930’s, and by 1948 there were 26 cows being milked by hand. It was at this time it was decided to invest in a milking machine to allow further expansion of the dairy herd.
In 1954, my father, the late John Pollock, and mother took over at Bonnyhill Farm. With a family of 5 sons and 1 daughter requiring work as they left school, they began expanding with the purchase of more farms and retail milk rounds.

At this time, mostly all the milk was delivered to doorsteps with very few shops or supermarkets around, unlike today, where most of our sales are through retail outlets and catering establishments.
Our farms now grow a variety of crops to support the 300 cow dairy herd and 550 young stock.
A new state of the art rotary milking parlour was commissioned in April 2009 to improve productivity, and allow for further expansion of the dairy herd to keep up with the demand for our quality farm fresh milk.
